looks like I found the information I was looking for. I appreciate your listing your plans and giving some details, this will really give me a good starting point and help me to know a little more about what to do. Now I am not so afraid to attempt building.

no problem... since i have built my winch at least 2 dozen other people have used my plans in building their winch and have had great results... it is a tried and true method but dont be afraid to come up with your own thing and bring something new to winching... it is always exciting to see something new

its a honda kock off i bought off of ebay...

i recomend spending the money and gettin a better engine though... like a suburu or briggs

Thanks for the help! My friend and I are going to use your guide to build our own winch! Ill let you know how it turns out, and I will ask for help when needed, if that's ok!


By the way is that a yamaha ttr125 or yz250 in the background of one of your photos? I used to ride a ttr125 Very Happy

still works fine... the rope eats thru it eventually but its really wasy and cheap to replace it
